Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. Half a million women lose their lives per year to cardiovascular disease. These are our mothers, wives, sisters and aunts. Go Red for Women was first brought to my attention by a friend. This friend has had two heart attacks over the past six years and has made it her personal mission to do what she can to stamp out this disease. I have decided to join her in this effort. Go Red For Women’s mission, in association with the American Heart Association, is to encourage awareness, help reduce risk and ultimately wipe out heart disease. I ask that you join me in this collective effort.
